Morsø 1010 – a freestanding bioethanol fireplace in solid cast iron
Morsø 1010 gives you the cozy experience of a living flame – completely without a chimney, smoke, or hassle. It is made from solid cast iron, just like Morsø’s classic wood-burning stoves, and on the side you will find the well-known squirrel motif that adds a touch of Danish design history. Here you get a bioethanol fireplace that is decorative, durable, and easy to place in the home.
The model comes with 100 mm legs, which provide a stable and subtle look that fits well in both small and larger rooms. Morsø also offers a version with 250 mm legs, but this variant is aimed at those who prefer a lower, more compact appearance.
Benefits in everyday use
- Creates a warm and calm atmosphere – whether you live in an apartment or a house
- Burns clean bioethanol and requires neither chimney nor installation
- Freestanding design, making it easy to change placement as needed
- Cast iron ensures high quality, long lifespan, and a timeless expression
- The classic squirrel design makes it a piece of Morsø craftsmanship that stands out
Where does the Morsø 1010 fit in?
The Morsø 1010 works well in smaller living rooms, summer houses, bedrooms, or as a cozy feature in an open hallway. It is also ideal in modern apartments where you want the cozy wood-burning stove atmosphere but do not have access to a chimney. Its compact size makes it easy to combine with Nordic materials such as wood, stone, and wool textiles.
If you want to create a calm reading corner, it is perfect to place it next to an armchair with a small side table. It also works beautifully as a natural focal point in the room – for example on a console or in a corner where you want to add warmth and life.
What is included?
- Morsø 1010 bioethanol fireplace in cast iron (with 100 mm legs)
- 1.5 litre bioethanol burner
- Installation and user manual
A bioethanol fireplace rooted in Danish craftsmanship
Morsø has more than 160 years of experience with cast iron, and you can feel that expertise in both quality and finish. Even though the Morsø 1010 is a bioethanol fireplace, you get the same solid, reassuring feel as with their wood-burning stoves – just in a more flexible and modern version.
The Morsø 1010 is made for those who want a cozy, sustainable, and simple heat source that can be used all year round. It delivers that special Nordic fire atmosphere without dominating the room or requiring extensive preparation.
